I was advised to try and manually express and put into baby's mouth from your finger if it becomes s struggle at first. That was the breast feeding adviser. There should be one st your hospital. They only need small amounts to start X

Get some lanolin cream and check the latch - shouldn't hurt xx

Have u just given birth of so its takes 2-3 days for milk to come in. Before that u just produce tiny amounts of colostrum that's yellow. And baby get all it needs from the concentrated amounts of this. It can look like it's getting nothing but u will be producing it. If u want to continue bf speak to them they can explain and help u out Hun. I've had 4 and bf them all and I swore on my 4th I had nothing till the midwife whipped out a syringe and hand massaged less than a ml out. My baby was in scbu so I was upset which didn't help but I did successfully bf her too. I pumped like mad for three days and I had loads of milk.

Don't let them pressure you to breastfeeding if you can't do it you can't do it any feed is better than nothing just do what is best for you both xx

You do what you feel will be best for your baby. I was pressured so much to keep breastfeeding. I lasted 10 days as my little girl wasn't gaining weight and my fiancé and I were concerned. Also I was absolutely exhausted and I was so poorly after she was born. If you want to give him formula, ask for it. They should go with your wishes xx

Midwives where I was didn't bat an eyelid when I asked for formula. If you've tried & nothing is happening then they can't have a go when baby is hungry xx
