You don't want strong perfumed soaps causing irritation down there afterwards. My doctor said to ditch the feminine wash and go for a gentle soap but mostly water.

@mommakaz, Ditto, femine wash is a no go after birth. I had to use a gentle soap but use more water as well. You are open, and dont want anything to cause infection.
