I'm on Zoloft. With my first pregnancy it didn't seem to do much, but my husband was also deployed. (In retrospect I should've asked to up my dose.) This time, it seems to be helping! I had depression and anxiety pre-pregnancy too. How are you doing?
@mommagotbump16, I just got prescribed it today, 25mg, and it made me so sick. I've struggled with depression my whole life and severe anxiety for the last 4-5 years. Many counselor's have wanted me on medication and I always struggled without it but I said yes bc I don't have just me to think about anymore. How long were you on it when you felt like it was helping?
@killxj0y, I just started back on it after I had Lucas, so 4 weeks on it so far, and started feeling more me by 2 weeks in. I also had been off of meds for this pregnancy (just tried to see if I could - ended up with fewer migraines so glad I did lol). Zoloft is only ok for me. I prefer Lexapro, but Zoloft has the smallest percentage that crosses into breastmilk, so I'm on it til I wean. But even if it's not the best for me, it's better than nothing. I'm on 50 mg right now.
I'm on Zoloft right now, so far it has helped with my postpartum depression, but I prefer Prozac (which I was on for a year before I got pregnant). I get very dizzy with the Zoloft and get headaches, but I am breastfeeding so my midwives said it was the one that was best for that. I am on 50mg currently. I forgot, are you breastfeeding? And did you take it with food?

@mommagotbump16, no I stopped breastfeeding about a week and a half ago. And no I took it on an empty stomach and I didn't even realize 🤔

@killxj0y, hopefully that's all it is then? If not, since you're not breastfeeding you'd be able to change meds if needed.
