Okay so I'm stuck right now. I really want just my husband and I to enjoy the moments we have with the baby when she's born just to ourself for the first night. I've been told it's selfish and I should be open to others going to visit. But I also am going to be very strict when holding my baby I.e: wash hands and arms to elbows, if you smell like smoke or have smoked before coming you won't hold her, no touching or kissing of face or lips, and absolutely if you have even a little cough or anyone in your house is sick you will not be welcome into my room. I also want to limit visit time to 10 mins tops because I plan on nursing and letting my husband bond with his baby girl. I really don't want people to get all ass hurt but at the same time my child's health and well being kinda matter more to me. How would anyone else feel if they spent hours in pain and then the little person that was birthed was being tossed around like a hot potato and touched and prodded every ten seconds and was stressed from everything. My husbands mom got mad because she told me she wanted to know when I go into labor so she can let all her fb friends know...I told her I won't be letting anyone know until it happens and I want to be the one to post about it because it's our special time. It's like nothing is sacred anymore. My mom asked permission with my son to post I was in labor and same with pictures of the baby. I probably won't post pictures of her for about a day or till we get home and comfy. I don't feel it's anyone else's place to do so. Maybe I'm a crazy pregnant lady but it's my kid so they can either like it or lump it.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I think that's your right as a parent and everything like that should be 100% up to you as parents. Me personally love to see all the people come and see the baby and love on them. This is my third baby, maybe that has something to do with it. Only rule I really have is if you are sick you cant be around them and wash your hands, smoking one is good too i have never had that problem though. Your opinion is the one that is important, so stick to your rules and if people don't like them then they have no respect for you and your child.

Well I know people are going to go around my wishes. They did with my son and I wasn't very happy, especially being I'm due in winter and there's more sickness going around I will flip if my baby is sick because of due negligence. I don't like touching of the face either because that's just gross, who would want their face with all kinds of hands and fingers poking and squeezing and touching their face. I just want a peaceful few days especially being this pregnancy has been hard and literally NOONE has been here through the whole thing so they shouldn't be rewarded with time they don't deserve. That goes for everyone, I did the same with my son and any future kids I have I'll do it again I just don't find it necessary to try to be up the moms ass when a month before you didn't even think a second about @mybabyloves

I'm glad moms share the same mindset as I do on here. It's bizarre that people who have kids I'm close to think my way of thinking is dumb @mybabyloves
