When was the first time you took a newborn infant out of the house? Everyone is telling me to stay home with her until she is 6-8 weeks at least. What is the normal?

At 3 days old i went to my sons basketball practice, I don't feel there's any reason to stay in the house after they're born (unless there's a medical issue of course, or if it's crazy hot/cold)

Took my baby out immediately after. She's 2 months and perfectly fine. So what makes you comfortable and keep the baby covered
