if you have vaginal delivery at my hospital and you and baby are both doing good you get to go home in 24 hrs

2 nights 3 days. The stay is mainly for the baby tho

2 nights 3 days for normal delivery. 3 nights 4 days with my c section

Ah I got ya. I'm sure it's completely different in every hospital and every state but they can't ever force you to stay unless medically necessary. Good luck ☺

oh ok @aloves because my sister in law was out the next day but other women said two days I don't like hospitals so I'm sol lol

I decided to stay the full 2 days lol I wanted ppl to visit me in the hospital. not my house... plus I was a first time mom and I had a million questions for the nurses.

No problem. Where I'm from and everyone I know it's 48 hrs not so much for the mom but because in most states that have to do a newborn screen on baby at 48hrs after birth. I mean they can't force you to stay but if you choose to leave you'll have to bring the baby back for the screen where I'm from.

I had natural and was allowed 2 days. If I wanted to be admitted longer than I would have to pay out of pocket for any additional time after 48 hours from the time of admittance.

I did an all natural no complications and they asked me the next morning if I wanted to leave! lol so not even 24 hrs after I had her....

48 hours is standard.
