we all have our own little ways to make thunder storms less scary for our kids. We tell our little one thunder is the sound of angels dancing in heaven because someone found Jesus and we should dance with them. every time there's a crash of thunder my prince charming yells angels and dances :) What do you do?

My family used to tell me that God was bowling and everytime we heard thunder he got a strike 😂 I believed that until like middle school..

@beccalynnn, my parents told me the same, and they told me when lightning happened it's because something about the Angels turning the lights on and off playing hide and go seek...I could be way off but it was a long time ago I don't remember too well :/

I've always been very literal with my son, even when it came to topics like sex 😁 I told him the hot electric discharge made a sound like ripples in the air. I showed him with water. See? The Lightning (pebble) starts here. You and I are over here. It takes this long for the ripples to get to us. So all thunder is is the sound of the Lightning, and the longer it takes to hear it the farther away it is! Then we went into scripture and I assured him that God has not given him a spirit of fear but of peace, love, and a sound mind. I've always celebrated thunderstorms with him. I would ask him to focus on the vibrations he could feel in his sternum. When he was really little I made a game like what do we have around the house that we can make our own thunder with?! He's never been afraid 😊
