I need advice ladies
I have 2 young kittens, 16 weeks old, and I've just noticed that they have fleas, they are regularly treated (had one at 12 weeks, due again now) but somehow have gotten them (my sister came over the other day, the person she works for has fleas, so I'm guessing that's how)
anyway, I only have 5 weeks left till my due date, and I don't have a lot of money, I'm very scared that this will happen again once baby is here, and you can't use treatment for the house once he is, I don't know how to get rid of them now, and prevent from happening again .. what should I do? 😭
advantage is a really good flea spot on treatment... mine use to suffer with fleas... this flea treatment keeps them away. its brilliant... cheap to order online. xx
you can buy a 4 pack of advantage online... its about £9.50 its the best thing I've ever used. I have 3 cats, been flea free for over 3 years using this xx
I don't know if my pets at home have a vets for pets? how do I go about that please? thank you @catherineln25 xx
vets for pets in pets at home do deals where it's about £8 or so a month which covers all worm and flea treatment and loads of other stuff. my kitten had fleas and the £8 covered him completely it was amazing I was so impressed. if the first thing they try doesn't work they'll use something else and they don't charge you more xx
I agree, advantage is one of the best. But with any flea treatment make sure you read the packet properly and get cat or kitten. It seems silly but my granny accidentally bought spot on for small dogs and gave it to my cat thinking it was the same thing. He ended up spending 3 days in the vets A&E for poisoning... If the kittens are in certain rooms of the house then they'll need to be cleaned from top to bottom. Carpets, bedsheets, sofas, curtains etc. I think it's something like 60% of fleas live in the animals environment so when you get rid of the fleas on the kittens they could catch them again from laying in a cat bed for example. It sounds horrible I know but if you've caught them early they shouldn't be too hard to get rid off :)
