Usually, unless there is an issue with you or the baby they won't start talking about induction until at least your due date. They prefer them to stay in as long as possible, because there are so many issues that could arise forcing them out when they're not ready.
@lexirosex3, I had high blood pressure and were talking about inducing at 38 & 6 if preeclampsia didn't develop. My husband was deployed so I was trying to hold off as long as possible. My midwife told me that they can't force you to induce. She said she would recommend what was best for me and the baby and I would make the final decision. I had to be induced at 37 and 2 because I developed preeclampsia and she stopped growing.
Same here @baevans1993 they talked about with me with my first at like 36 weeks because of my BP but I ended up going into labor on my own at about 37w4d
@towens921, I guess the babies know what they want! Mine was not ready to come out! I was in labor for 35 hours! It took forever to get her to drop but when she did, I only had to push for 15 minutes! Idk about other people's experiences but for me, sweeping my membranes hurt like a mother! I also had to get a foley bulb placed right after so that made it even worse!
@lexirosex3, oh wow! I know that's the last thing you want to hear while in labor! Once I got my epidural my blood pressure bottomed out and I was almost unconscious until they gave me fluids. It dropped from 139/105 to like 105/69! It was the weirdest feeling ever!
@baevans1993, that's so crazy! And yeah it was horrible I didn't get to enjoy it and I was out like a light I didn't remember anything from that experience
@lexirosex3, awh, I hate that! I had a friend who went all natural and basically blacked out once he was born. She doesn't remember most of her labor! I was so happy I got the epidural because I really enjoyed pushing. I was happy and lucid and it was a great experience.

I think it's when you become past due. But I'm not sure. Or if you have a health issue and baby needs to come out

@baevans1993, I developed preeclampsia with my son when I was in labor. I had to get an emergency csection.
