@bria, same thing happened to me. The 3rd we went home and my colostrum wasn't enough and she was screaming her lungs out the whole night I'm still traumatized that every time she cries it takes me back to that night. I had to take her to the dr's, with no sleep I was shaking and dizzy it was the worst. I will not allow my daughter to "adjust" that's cruel I agree. I'll do what it takes to keep my daughter happy.

I completely understand. When I went through that I went off on a nurse because of that, she even called my son an anorexic baby, like lady I will feed him formula if his still hungry! So true, I exclusively breastfeed and have a decent supply but I can't pump for the life of me which is such a hassle because people think I'm lazy when I'm out and have to feed him similar to feeding a baby formula almost. As long as babies are food people should mind their business. You're welcome, glad I did!

I'm on my second day PP and my colostrum isn't enough .. So my daughter is getting formula too. No my plan wasn't that initially but guess what? My daughter is NOT screaming the way she was when I realized she could use a little formula.. And that's the healthiest thing for both of us👍🏻. I'm sure it's similar for you and your baby! Don't worry about what other people say, I think about those judge mental assholes and wonder if they let their kid scream bloody murder starving so they can "adjust" ... To me that's fucking cruel. Rather give my baby pumped stuff, boobs, and formula than hear her little lungs crying out. #IAgreeFedIsBest 🙌🏻

exactly what @luuuuuucyyy said absolutely nothing wrong with doing both. most important thing is feeding that baby of yours and that's all that matters whether it's formula only or breastmilk only or both.

@luuuuuucyyy, I'm fine until a Mom goes oh your not suppose to give your baby both or that's bad for your supply or their judgmental comments. I just want to deck them in the face. My baby being fed is what matters to me some ppl just have better supply then others and it shouldn't give those moms to put ppl down. Thank you you've made me feel a lot better

I've done it & will do it if I have to! Nothing wrong with feeding formula, as long as they are fed & happy that's all that matters. You know what's best so be proud of yourself that you do everything you can for her!
