Ok so I'm kind of curious.. anyone else have a doctor that doesn't tell them ANYTHING about their pregnancy? Like, all these people I know are like "my baby weighs 4 pounds" or "so far my child is in a certain percentile"
I'm almost 36 weeks pregnant and I know nothing. The past few doctors I've had are careless and I don't know anything about my baby. None of them have even told me what to look for or what not to look for. I had to find out from the Internet what a mucus plug is, not even my own doctor tells me that kind of thing.
Ugh I'm pissy. They don't tell me shit. I'm kinda aggravated I have to find everything out from the INTERNET

I went to L&d a couple weeks ago for contractions and was 1cn and 50 effaced and my apt a few days ago, I asked if they'd see if I progressed just in case and they said no well just wait until you're closer, like I get being only 1cm means nothing but what if I've dilated to a 5 already or something 😂 and they know I've been losing mucus plug but they don't ask about it, it's all happy go lucky no questions asked. Like hellooooooo🙄🙄🙄
Right?!? I just truly wish they'd tell me what certain things are, etc. or what something is supposed to look like. My next appointment is Friday and I'm supposed to have a new doctor and she is gonna check me for dilation. If she doesn't tell me anything about what to expect, I'm gonna be mad. I'm tired of going to the Internet for answers. @bentleysmomma
Every apt my dr just says "how are you feeling, any questions? Ok let's listen to his heartbeat" and then it's done 😒
Yep... every damn doct appt is weighing me, peeing in a cup, checking baby's heartbeat... and then doc comes in and goes over my urine sample... then it's like see you in 2 weeks😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol yeah same here . My mucous plug fell out & I dead called my doctor like what is this & what does this mean . My OB doesn't do any ultrasounds . I go to another department & get those done & depending on the technician they won't tell me anything either unless I ask .. It's sad really .
@cubanese, I feel like a lot of doctors need to explain these kinds of things. I've only had one good doctor and she was super sweet. I'm kind of scared of labor now because my doctors are just in such a rush to get out of there, that they don't bother to explain anything
My doctor is like this. If I want to know something, I have to ask lol.
Mine dont tell me anything either! They didn't even say anything about my anatomy scan and acted like they didn't even know I had it done! @emydeathbat 😠👎
My doctor is the same way. An they won't even do a last ultrasound unless something is wrong. They literally check the heart beat and size of my stomach each time I go and that's pretty much it. I learn most of everything by reading posts on here lol.
