When did you guys first start getting checked for dilation and for what position the the baby is in ?
@emersonsmommy, no she definitely hasn't lol just uses that damn measuring tape and that's about it .. no pressing or anything
but I'm definitely gonna ask to see what position the baby is in since I feel like he's laying across my belly @daniellecaprara11
yea my doctor just pushed down on my belly and he knew my baby was head down, so your doctor probably has checked they just haven't told you
@daniellecaprara11, yeah I know that was part of my question but besides measuring my belly she hasn't felt for the position of the baby and I was told I wouldn't get a 3 trimester ultrasound either smh so I know the feeling lol
Just ask to be checked I demand it. Not that it really matters if you're dialated I had both of my boys and wasn't even dialated. I'm at. 2 right now and have been for weeks. But it's always nice to know.
They do that by feeling the belly not by checking that's what they told me. But when they did check my cervix she was low and they could feel the head. I also never got a third trimester ultrasound soooo many others get :/ I've been jipped lol
@steppphh, yeah I just had that done but that was all lol
@emersonsmommy, and @daniellecaprara11 you would think they would like to know what position the baby is in prior to birth..
36 weeks for dilation when I got my strep b test done
38 only because I asked otherwise my clinic doesn't lol which sux I always thought it was mandatory. It was with both of my other kids.
yea some doctors don't check you at all, I guess it just depends on the doctor
@jujukiss, yeah I usually have to ask too because my ob will take to long for my liking to let me know certain things lol And I don't really feel pressure in my vagina at all and Im almost sure he's laying across my stomach
@emersonsmommy, that's sounds like a good time to start checking yet my ob hasn't even brought it up smh
@klove23, I usually ask before anything what's going to happen cause I'm nosy. but I didn't need to get checked to know baby was head down. I've been feeling pressure in my vagina that's how I now she turned. I just want to know if I'm dialted or not
@babygirl71716, okay well I'm not so much worried about the dilation part of it yet but I feel like my baby not in the head down position and would like to know for sure. I'm definitely gonna ask at my appointment tomorrow
@jujukiss, I'm about to 37 weeks to so maybe at my next appointment I'll know what position the baby is in at least.. it's just my ob hasn't said anything about it so I was wondering what the "norm" was
I was told by my ob that they only check you if there's a valid reason! I requested to have them check and do a membrane sweep. Also was told you can request to be checked at any time during your pregnancy
he's been checking my babies position since I was 35 weeks, every time I go in he checks
@emersonsmommy, and when did they check the babies position?
my first time getting checked will be tomorrow I'm 38 weeks and my baby is head down, didn't get an ultrasound the doctor just pushed down on my belly and he knew
@babymama2016, oh well I was told I don't get anymore ultrasounds (my last one was 23 weeks) so I was just wondering when and how my dr will check me since she hasn't already or mentioned it and I'm already gonna be 37 weeks.. I guess I'll have to bring it up lol
@babymama2016, and did you get a ultrasound to check the position ?
I know smh !! @emersonsmommy she has alot of wired way had I known from the beginning I would've changed drs
