are people really so ignorant and rude that they assume everyone gets PTSD from the military, asks you personal information, says men can't be raped, assumed you don't seek help and tell you to suck it up because you signed up for it by being in the military? seriously? has the world gone that mentally incompetent?

my ignorant ass father thinks that. I suffer from PTSD and he says my doctor needs to go back to school and research what PTSD is because it's for troops only. My doctor said PTSD doesn't stand for post traumatic stress disorder for military troops only. hahaha I love my doctor.
its a terrible thing to live through and it just blows my mind that people think you can only get it from the military.
my husband has PTSD from seeing his mom get beat when he was a child.
