Would any fruit and vegetable bought at a local farmers market be considered organic?? I don't know much about that and I am trying to eat as healthy as possible. I eat a ton of fruit/veggies but I don't buy organic from the grocery store because it's sooo expensive!
@brazenmommy, @expectnmy1anonly @shananaginsx thanks ladies :) I'm glad I asked because I would have just assumed they were organic.
Marionos grocery store if u have one near you sales organic fruit and vegetables and reasonably priced. Even though they are grown other ways just make sure u wash it really good and get that wax off of them but washing with hot water or sit in a lil vinegar and water. I do alot of non gmo and organic but some things u can't avoid otherwise so I don't trip. Just continue to eat healthy as u are is the most important. @michellevaldez4750
Depends on where it came from. Some use stuff on it and some don't
No, only organic produce is organic... Local farmers can still use genetically modified crops, pesticides, and impure/inorganic soil... Look for a little green "USDA ORGANIC" sticker on your produce, and you'll know if it meets standards.
I just Googled it. One of my favorites is I guess high risk (zucchini and yellow summer squash) but again, they don't have signs up and I asked yesterday what something was and the communication barrier is gonna be an issue. I'm still going to buy from them because I do like fresh picked produce regardless if it's organic or not. I was just curious. Thank you @gcpaschal
You should take a pic of the non gmo label with you. That might help 😄
@keepingupwithhenry, what is gmo?
@gcpaschal, that's what I was afraid of. A lot of the farmers here are Asian and don't speak or understand English at all. they've got great food though!
No not necessarily. You will have to ask if it's organic or not.
@michellevaldez4750, I like it too!
