Learning to let go only makes you feel pain temporarily. I learned to let go of some negative people that were no longer necessary in my life & over time I become happier without them. A lot of times people dont need replaced with other people. I also learned finding other ways to spend my time alone brings NO drama! I love my "simple" life. I dont understand how people hold on to negative people & ones who cause pain over & over again. Just try it, the hardest part for most is staying strong on your own long enough to realize how good it actually is for you & that it will eventually be your new normal & easy.
