they say when your baby eats their hands they're hungry so feed them...well what if you just fed her 3 ounces not even an hour ago and now her hands are back in her mouth like she's starving...so I make her 2 more ounces and she doesn't even drink a half an ounce...I'm at a loss! she just turned 7 weeks on Thursday...and the last couple days she's been a completely different baby! any ideas? or what would you mamas do?
She's prolly wanting to pacify or soothe her gums. Baby's hit a growth spurt at 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months so they'll eat more then. That's what my dr told me with my babies but that was 12+ years ago. But he was a good dr. :)
she'll eat anywhere from 3-4 ounces every 3 hours or so. and normally she'll fall asleep around 10:30 and sleep til 5:30..but Thursday night she fell asleep at 10 and woke up at midnight screaming and was awake and being fussy and crying until 2am..I literally had to drive the back roads at my house to get her to calm down and then she fell asleep on the way home...so I left her in her car seat and she slept until 8:45...and last night she was up every 2 hours..
How does she eat? Every 2 or 3hours? How much? How does she sleep at night??
@no colekayo07, just walk, sing, dance whatever works.. A pacifier does soothe my son when he does that.. N talk to your pediatrician too
she was born may 19th..I just hate seeing jet cry the way she has been the last couple of days.
Could be teething, doesn't necessarily mean they're hungry. My daughter used to do that and still does as soon as she's done eating lol
@nicolekayo07, my son does that too he was born May 15th..I just learned to make sure he's gone a full 2-3hrs but he's breast fed
but she cries at the top of her lungs while sucking on them, and no she doesn't...if she does she spits it out after sucking on it for a few minutes.
She could just be trying to suck in her fingers to soothe herself. Does she take a pacifier?
My daughter is same age n around this time they are going through developmental leap which causes them to be fussy...google wonder weeks...I bought book and pretty accurate so far...also keeps me from losing my mind since gives easy explanation as to why fussy out of nowhere
