I got a TMI question...
What's is the deal with other females holding a newborn while on their cycle? I'm going to ask my doctor also but I want to know if any moms has experienced any complications with their babies....and how do you ask people "Hey Are You On Your Cycle?" And what about the nurses???
@maya.rose, thank you, I've never heard of that one but I agree it doesn't make sense.
It's been said to me by older people that if another woman holds a newborn it makes them constipated.... Idk it sounds crazy to me. I just wanted to know if anyone else has heard of this tale
I think the myth is that a woman on her period has extra blood flow and it can cause harm to the baby. I just know it doesn't make sense and isn't true at all, which is probably why no one knew what she meant. @_jfelder_ @michelle2220 @andiryan93
That has nothing to do with nothings. && its actually good to carry newborns on your belly. it warms it up. && it makes the baby feel good. Sounds weird I know.
i'm extremely confused as I don't even know what you're talking about and I'm a second time mom. what's the myth or whatever it is
@andiryan93, I was too it came up in a conversation so I decided to ask more moms. I'm a first time mom so I really don't know
There is no real problem with a menstrual cycle and holding a newborn child. A nurse on their period still goes to work and takes care of babies... It's an old wives tale.
@dessy9671, it makes the baby constipated yes dong let no one hold your baby while they on their cycle.. its not a old wives tail its true someone held my baby while I was in the hospital and the nurse had came in and asked me I knew nothing about it. but yes it makes them real bad constipated
