in order to have a UTI does it have to hurt when you pee?

Mine did that and I had one so if I were you I would go to the doc just to make sure you don't have one

It can go either way. I've had them be extremely painful. And then once I had one, and had no idea. If you think you have an UTI you really should go to the dr, or an urgent care.

no. I can't never tell I have a UTI until it has spreads to my kidneys... I don't get any symptoms... until its too late...but one thing is, cloudy urine is the one symptom I do get, but not always and it happens after a while of having it...once its in my kidneys I know I have a UTI because I start having pain where the kidneys are, and back pain, and once I did experience the burning... but not until it went to my kidneys. I always get one on every pregnancy...and it can't be detected on the office test they do at the doctors office... it can only be detected when they send it to labs...which is so weird. when I ask to get checked for UTI they check with those strip test they do at the office, and it comes negative for a UTI, and when I ask them to send a urine example to the labs and they come positive for UTI.

It will hurt even more, I have back issues and it was worse but if you think you might go to your doc

No, I just had a uti and didn't know, it only affected my back

yeah I know lol, usually frequently peeing with only peeing a little is a symptom. I don't even have that, every time I pee, I pee waterfalls lmao @lexij

@graciesmama, its hard to tell when your pregnant. a big symptom is frequently going. but with a baby in there you pee all the time too.

So it was a surprise to me.

I went to my ob apt today and when I left she called saying I had a UTI. I have no symptoms at all..

well I can't tell... I've been peeing more then normal but she's sitting low, it doesn't hurt, but it's super yellow and cloudy. sorry if that's gross to share. and its kinda stinky. I'm going to wait and see how it it tomorrow. I might've just been dehydrated. it was hot out, I was running around them I was at work. that's probably all it is.

No, I don't think so. when my doctor told me I had a UTI I was surprised. I had no pain while peeing. I did notice I had some pain to my back side. Which my doctor said was most likely being caused by the UTI
