Interview tomorrow! Wish me luck, I really need this job. I need to have enough money to get my first car by the end of August, my birthday is the 29th of August and that is also the day my learners permit expires. If it expires I will have to wait another six months to get my license from where I got my learners under 18. I am due in 5 months. I don't have six months to waste, I also need to be able to get my own apartment/trailer, and everything I'm going to need for my baby. I have people to help me, I just want to prove I can do all of this by myself.

@rkline03, no shame what so ever, it's more of a pride thing for me, and to prove to a few people I can do it, it's a long story actually but if I absolutely need help concerning my child I will get help.

@rkline03, it sucks because two of the people are people that I don't want thinking I can't do it. Yes, I am 18 years old, but my father thinks I need to run to the government for absolutely everything, I don't want any government help, they will go after the baby daddy for child support. The baby daddy and I just broke up like a week ago, he knows I don't want his child support he says he's going to help me, I believe him. If he doesn't help with his kid that's his loss. And the last is the baby daddy's ex. That's just a whole different story way to much to type.

@kcp1997, accept WIC. it isn't a huge help but it gives you food, formula, and a few other things. I also accepted government insurance for my baby, for multiple reasons. it is only for her though. my SO is currently in jail and I understand this child support thing because even though we are still together they still want me to get child support from him which is pointless in my opinion. it is also a big headache for literally nothing.

I have Wic, I plan on keeping that because after the baby is born they help with formula like you said and they'll help with actual baby food too. I'll probably accept government insurance if it is offered. I also have to get myself new insurance here soon. I'm covered until I'm 21 though so I may wait I'm not sure

You can also try for food stamps . It helps to where you won't have to spend money on food. I'm trying for it soon . 🙄

I can't get food stamps right now because I'm living with my mom and under the age of 21. If I lived by myself I'd definitely get it because I'm pregnant.
