Worried doesn't even begin to describe how I feel. In downtown Dallas there was (is?) a protest going on against the police. My husband works for the sheriffs department and is also in downtown. There is a man shooting down at the cops and one was hit. My husband and his coworkers are now on lock down. How am I supposed to just sit here at home while there's some crazy person out there targeting men in uniform!? Maybe you hate the police, maybe you have a valid reason to but when you become a threat to others not even IN a damn squad car, you are no longer fighting for the right cause. I don't care about race and I don't care about politics. Right is right and wrong is wrong. Violence doesn't solve violence! When you fight fire with fire then you're not part of the solution. You're part of the problem. Praying for those who's families work in downtown. I hope everyone makes it home okay.

I really hope they can all go home safely! My husband is a correctional officer, I worry about him in his profession. You must be very proud of your husband for being brave enough to wear that uniform and answer the calling to serve others, especially in this scary time.

Because all lives matter. Cops' lives matter. Not all blacks are [insert negative belief] and not all cops are murderers. Or white. And murdering cops won't stop horrific murders BY cops either. What is wrong with the media in this country?

What about the innocent cop that was shot? Does his life not matter because he may or may not have been black? I didn't see the whole story so I don't know the specifics and I don't really care for them. People don't deserve to die just because someone is angry at a system as a whole. Just like one black person shouldn't die because a white person is mad at the race as a whole. I don't understand why we have to divide the way we do but I guess some will blame it on the fact that I am not black. Oh well I guess, I can't change who I am. Only how I respond to things that happen around me @goldenqueen

I'm sure the cop didn't deserve to die - I don't know the specifics of the situation. However, exaggerating that cops death is unnecessary when we compare how many innocent blacks has been killed due to the hands of people who are supposed to "protect us" as opposed to how many innocent cops has been killed WHEN THEY WERE AWARE THAT ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN TO THEM (INCLUDING DEATH) IN THEIR LINE OF DUTY. We're all going to die eventually, we are in fact dying right now but nobody seems to think of it that way. And as I said, I'm not black so I won't have anything of "credit" to say on the subject. Id rather we just leave it at that. This post isn't against the BLM movement, I'm just tired of all the bashing on cops acting like it's always their fault when someone dies, regardless of race, religion, or background. This is a post about how I feel and everyone who has a different opinion is more than welcome to make their own post on the matter. Thank you. My husband made it safely not that that's important to the BLM movement because he's on the "wrong" side but it matters to me. @chantebrandon
