Ladies, is 6 pounds 7 ounces big for 35 weeks and 4 days? My friend said her baby was that weight at term and my other friend's daughter was 6 pounds 10 ounces full term. Should I prepare for a big baby? My first baby was 9 pounds 3 ounces but I was also a gestational diabetic and I am not this pregnancy. I need opinions, thanks! :)
they measured my boy that same weight at 36 weeks... He was born at 40 weeks 3 days as 6lbs 13oz.
do remember it is just an estimate based on measurements. right now there is no full sure way to know how much baby weighs. @ilee
@sidanddelos15, I'm thinking maybe their measurements are off. Or at least hoping so. But I have gotten huge in the last few weeks so who knows.
my son was 4 lbs 12 oz at the appointment before i had him was about 2 weeks earlier. i was born at 31 weeks and weighed 4 lbs 4 oz. @ilee
@forevablessedx6, OMG god bless you. imagine if you went to term?! @imhermomduh I'm sorry you go through that. I don't think it makes that much of a difference, at 39.2 my son was 9 pounds 3 ounces. @sidanddelos15 Yeah that's pretty big. I was born at 33 weeks and was 5 lbs 2 oz. My son gained a pound and a half in just two weeks because at my last appointment he was 4lbs 15oz at 33 weeks 4 days 😱
it is big. my son was 5 lbs 3 oz at birth at 33 weeks. he is considered a big preemie.
@ilee, me too. My daughter was an oz under 7lbs but she came at 39wks. A week makes a difference maybe? Idk. I also have a thyroid autoimmune disease so that's probably why my babies are smaller.
my daughter was almost 8 lbs when i had her at 35.1 she was a chunky one lol
@imhermomduh, very true! I wonder why some women have bigger or smaller babies though.
I think babies have just gotten smaller. Me and my siblings were all over 9lbs. Well except my older brother. There is 4 of us
I'm thinking he will be big because his brother was! Thank God I'm having another c-section lol 😜
I had GD with my pregnancy and oddly my baby was underweight I think you'll possible have another big baby it could just mean you have big babies lol
they told my friend her baby weighed almost two pounds more then what he did when he was actually born
I'm 36 weeks and they said my daughter is 6 1/2 pounds, so it's normal! I think she's gonna be around 8-9 pounds because of my boyfriend 😂
