Got bashed on today because I said i wasn't giving my son a name with religious meaning. My fiance and i are both Athiest so it wouldnt make sense for us to name our son anything with strong religious ties. So this woman went on about how my baby is gods gift and that if i dont appreciate him then my child should be taken away from me. These kind of views are why im Athiest in the first place. I was raised both Catholic and congregationalist and the judgement people pass on others who dont see things the wat THEIR religion says it should be is just too much. I have no problem with people practicing their religions, its when they try to force it on me that i have an issue. I cant believe some people.

@bianca_rose, I would have understood more if this was an older or elderly woman...But she was around 25 wearing heels a crop top and leggings that were wayyy too tight. Dressing like a ho but shes gonna call me pit for my name choices. Lmfao
I think that's what people think if you're atheist, if you don't believe in God then you must believe in the devil

@bianca_rose, She looked at me like i had told her i worshipped the devil and made this horrible over dramatic gasping noise. Nearly laughed on accident.
Then at the end I get the, "well I'm going to pray for you anyway" lol ok....
It always starts with a simple question like that lol in my head I'm always thinking, ugh here we go lol
@bianca_rose, Right? She asked if i was giving him a name out of the bible. All i said was "no, we arent" and she flew off the handle.
I'm atheist also, and have people say the same kinds of things to me, beyond annoying
it's your child ,name it whatever you want.I don't believe anyone should enforce their religion on anyone
