@taylorrleee1, if you pay for his seat they would let you carry car seat on plane but he's under two so why pay for an entire seat just for a car seat. They would let you check in car seat if you want to travel with it.

@taylorrleee1, and nurse during take of and landing. Defeats the purpose of done before. Similar to adults chewing gum to prevent ears popping.

@taylorrleee1, we took Ethan to Jamaica when he was 5 months. I recommend a travel plan with whoever is traveling with you, a fanny pack and baby carrier. I breast fed on take off and landing. If you're not breastfeeding make sure baby is sucking on paci or bottle. If you're traveling international some airlines provide a bassinet but you have to be to the back of plane. We didn't want it because we took turns holding him. He was an absolute angel going and coming. We didn't take car seat too much hassle. Depending on age they recommend umbrella stroller. GL

@taylorrleee1, we didn't bring a car seat when we flew, so I can't answer that one. I'd call the airline if I was you, to be 100% sure. We had a carrier and she was in there sometimes. We flew across the ocean, so they actually gave us a whole row to ourselves. Usually babies are lap passengers, so if you have an empty seat besides you, you can lay her down. Sometimes the flight attendant will tell you not to. Ours fell asleep right on the runway and slept most of the time.

@taylorrleee1 yes your allowed to wear baby on the plane. and nope you won't have to pay if there's an empty seat! just ask when you get to the gate once the attendants are there, not when you first check in.

@rosalinasmami, @bri28 thank you! I am breastfeeding so that should be helpful! I'll probably wear her through the airport but are you allowed to on the plane too? Or do they not allow that? And if there's an empty seat will they make you pay to bring the carseat on? Because I know they make you purchase a ticket if you don't plan on having baby in your lap. But idk about if there's an empty seat when you get there.

@taylorrleee1, make sure to have plenty of things to keep your baby busy. Also, at take off, make sure your little one has something in the mouth, so the ears won't pop. If you're breastfeeding you should be good, bottle feeding, you are allowed to take water bottles I believe.

nurse before take off and landing to make sure his little ears don't pop. Or have him use a pacifier if he doesn't want to nurse. Hopefully he'll sleep through the most of the flight! When I flew with my daughter at 4 months she did great and just slept! she didn't even nurse a couple times because she was asleep and I didn't want to wake her. she was thankfully ok. If his ears bother him, he'll let you know for sure.

Some planes have changing stations in the bathrooms, you just have to ask the flight attendant. Wear baby if possible, it will make it a bit easier for you. you can also ask if there will be an empty seat next to you. if there is, you can use that for his car seat and baby can sleep there, giving your arms a rest! Just double check it's airplane safe, which most are now a days.
