Anyone tested positive for strep b?? I did and I'm panicking !! They gave me antibiotics and well my Doctor explained but was very calm about it .. But then I googled it and I started to panic!! Any of you given birth while testing positive to strep b??

No disease. Strep B is a bacterial infection. That type of bacteria lives in our intestines, vagina or rectum. Some women are just "carriers".. it doesn't necessarily mean you're sick.. which is why most don't have symptoms of anything. You will more than likely just get antibiotics through an IV during labor to keep baby from getting anything passed onto him. You'll be fine :)
@meli2890, but what causes it ? It makes me feel like they are saying I have a disease or something! I'm like the cleanest person I know .. This upsets me !

I did. Lol I did the same and freaked out when I read on Google. But it's not a big deal we just got penicillin in my iv when I was in labor. Me and baby are fine.
I did, I was a carrier. No big deal just had to get an IV of antibiotics during labor and my son had to as well. He could care less he was happy as can be :)
