Ughhhh. Anyone have any idea how to get your LO to stop swallowing so much air while eating?? He's breastfed, but he will not slow down or quit gulping air, especially at night. (If I pull him off to burp him, he gets more frantic and swallows even more air!) He's ridiculously hard to burp, so we're stuck in a vicious cycle here. Any help, TIA!

Have his head elevated while nursing as high as possible above his knees. A boppy pillow helps tremendously!

You're welcome. since he's so small try holding him up in a sitting position while nursing maybe?

@ya0515, when I have him in football hold I'll lean back so he's basically standing, but I have the boppy for support. He's too big for me to just hold without help lol! (Probably close to 10 lb now 😲)
