I have held my tongue the last few times I've seen posts like this, but enough is enough. I've seen so many posts complaining about how said mama and boyfriend/husband/fiancé "don't get any help from family". I've seen so many posts on here of girls complaining that they are so tired and broke and their parents or boyfriends parents aren't helping out. Or, my favorite, they are living under their parents roof still and complain about their family being loud, or eating the last of their craving, or whatever. Here's the deal ladies: YOU had this child. Not your mom. Not your dad. Not your significant others parents. YOU. Help from family is wonderful. Financially and mentally. But, why are you upset? Why are you expecting it? This is adulthood. This is parenthood. Don't expect handouts and support..if they are given, then wonderful! But, if not? Don't expect an automatic babysitter; they have a life also. Don't be mad at your mother because she isn't stocking the fridge with your favorite food. 🙄😒🙄 #MYopinion #Sorry #DontLikeIt #ThenBlacklistMe 🤗😘

I've never had help from family except once when I was in the hospital. And it was only 1 hour and I took care of my baby the rest of the time. I actually prefer it that way. She's my baby and my responsibility. That 1 hour is the longest I've been away from her in 9 months. I don't complain no one helps me. It's my job and my fiancé's job. Not anyone else's.

@mamesey, I hear ya. My mom likes to have "grandma sleep overs" every few months, and my mother-in-law has stayed with my daughter while my husband and I had to fly 2,000 miles to my hometown when my father passed away. We are lucky to have the help, but, we would have made it work if we needed. And we'd sure as hell never complain about being broke on our parents. That just doesn't make any sense!

Me and my SO live with his parents. And we aren't expecting shit lol. We're still really young and trying to find our own place but money is tight right now 🙁 but I don't expect a baby sitter or a food provider. I'm blessed that they even let us live here. Yeah they get on my nerves every so often but they're my family now lol. That's just how it works 😏

Complete agree with you mama! I myself am a single mother living at home with my parents & younger siblings. So I knew that even having my son they come first. We've all compromised since my parents wanted it that way since it is their house to respect my son and his needs. I try doing it all myself but they all help me as well because they want to or if I truly need it like to shower or just eat. I've had to shower while I've had my son in his bassinet in the bathroom with me or etc. He is my responsibility not anyone's else but I'm thankful for all the help they give me.
