Typically when do doctors want to induce you? My OB wants to induce me, hasn't said when though. But…

Mine mentioned inducing me at 39 weeks at my last appointment. We're supposed to discuss it further at my appointment on Wednesday.

it depends on your doctor ill be 39 weeks this friday and since my baby hasnt came yet i think my OB doctor will be talking to me about inducement but i never had an inducement experience so i wouldnt know 😳 but i heard the medicine they give you to put you in labour gives you very painful contractions 😭😭

Why are they inducing at 39 weeks? I thought they only induce at 40 weeks or later?

I'm 39 weeks and 1 day and I'm being induced tomorrow. I was told that they want to induce earlier now so you don't go over your due date.. So true I know someone whose baby was perfectly fine then she went past 40 and the baby's cord got wrapped and passed. Maybe it is a good Hong they need to monitor us closer.

I'm measuring 2 weeks early and they're saying if I go to 40 weeks then she'll be a 10 pound baby. If she's 10 pounds he says I'll have to have a c-section. So in order to avoid the c-section he wants to induce at 39.
