Okay so my SO has decided on a girls name and is very set on this name. I however am not and very dislike the name. I really wish I liked it. The first reason I don't like it is I personally don't find it cute and wanted to stick with names starting with K my first kiddos is Kammy. Second this was the name my BIL's twin was supposed to be named she passed in utero so I feel it has a bad mark on the name !? The name is Talya Michelle Lynn Neeley. I love our boy name and so does my husband how do I go about talking to him about it I wouldn't be opposed to Talya as the middle name I just don't want it as the first name! I don't want to hurt his feelings and promised him he could name the girl this time around since I got to chose the first child's name! Really hoping for a boy!! so I don't have to even have a conversation about it with him!😞 what do I do!

@cassandrareyna14, that's what I thought too I hope he'll agree and we can both decide on a good first name!!
Then I'd settle with a middle name at least...the whole name is a little much to ask for, at least the middle name will give you both what you want
@cassandrareyna14, it's our child though together supposed to be a mutual agreement @rachel8792 I kinda thought about it but we are doing a gender reveal and we aren't finding out tell then! and we were going to tell the name on that same day! so I really can't wait I just need to put my big girl panties on and just talk to him....
Honestly I would wait for the gender ultrasound. Its a 50/50 chance of the baby being a boy. If it turns out to be a girl, then you can talk about it
The way I see it, it's your kid your choice. If it was me I'd consider it but if I didn't absolutely love it I wouldn't use it...

explain the reason why you don't want it like that and that can he come up with another suggestion due to the whole passing of the twin.
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. I agree that it should be mutual but I also think you have a very good reason for not liking the name. he should understand that in my eyes and compromise with you. I'm sure you came up with a few names he disliked when you named your first girl. and him not being able to pick Talya doesn't mean he can't pick the name for the baby @julianeeley21
