Down's syndrome is a chromosomal abnormality that happens when the sperm meets the egg. My friend had multiple rhogam shots during her pregnancy when she was spotting and she has a healthy baby girl. My mom also had the rhogam shot when she was pregnant with me and I'm damn near perfect ~ ;)

Rhogam shot doesn't cause downs.

i feel the only way I would abort is if the baby can not live on it's own meaning life support and or constantly in the hospital where I can't learn to provide and help them. DS is just a baby who needs more care DS actresses and actors can obviously act and they have modeled they aren't all the "special" they aren't a burden. but I won't abort unless my doctor suggested it, but I'm wrong for feeling offended?

And I'm just here to say that a baby with DS isn't terrible. It's an amazing gift. My daughter has Down Syndrome so it's set not the worst thing that can happen. She's a rockstar and I wouldn't have her any other way! That being said, I'd tell that lady to eat shit if she feels a baby should be aborted based on a DS diagnosis. There's a special place in hell for people like that!! Sorry your going thru that :/

@rawwrdinoox, I definitely understand how you feel my bf grandma also wanted me to abort our baby but I told him that I would never do that and was keeping our child no matter what he stepped up and is there for me now..even his mom was very upset but your situation sounds stressful keep the baby in the end if there not gonna be supportive they do not have to see your child stay strong with your decision and I believe you can do it I was prepared for my bf to leave me and baby during that period since he just turned 20 when we found out about our child I pray everything turns out well for you and no matter how tough things get I promise you won't regret it I'm 37 weeks pregnant now and I'm really excited to meet my daughter I even fought through hyperemesis and his grandma put me down a lot it's gotten better though I'm wishing you the best! The RH+ thing is important for you and baby too.

but I was being disrespectful because I said that wasn't true I did my research and that I wanna keep my baby no matter what. because I don't like what she said and how she said it and i never even responded to her I let her talk and I waited til she left to tell him that was a load of crap.

we aren't married but I was living with him and I did end up leaving I go out when I'm frustrated to cry scream or even cry to get it off my chest. it's a way I've always been run away to get my closure and get myself calm. I don't do anything crazy I used to go to a local forest preserve and smoke a cigarette and cry but now I park there to talk to God to pray. but it's like his mom is telling that because I got the rh+ shot that my baby will be down syndrome and that it's better to abort it. then she told me we are bad parents because we didn't do anything. which I've gone to two ers by her recommendation to hear the same thing and i did my shot, I went to the doctors been taking my medication and I'm a bad mom because I want to keep a baby if medical science says there's no reason to abort?
