I'm due 9/12 and am taking my leave as of August 12th. My son was 9 days early so I truly feel she will be here the end of August plus my 4 year old starts preschool the 19th so it's easier this way. I need all the money I can get otherwise I would already be on leave.

Definitely understand. My husband and I both work way too much so I'm worried about getting everything ready. It seems most people at my job have their babies 36-38 weeks because of how physically demanding our job is and there are even a few who question if I'll make it to 9/1 or leave earlier. I'm always like believe me, leaving earlier sounds better and better every day, although I know I'll get bored.

Yes people usually do that & I'm like I want to be able to get my rest in and actually be home in close to the hospital because my boss will work me up to my due date if I don't say anything @ains4073

Pretty much when you feel like it. You can get up to 12 weeks FMLA leave and the rest would be either sick leave or vacation time if you needed more or wanted to get paid. I'm due 9/29 and hoping to make it to 9/1 to start leave...but it seems most take it a week or two before?
