Did any of you deal with discrimination at work for being pregnant? I'm going through it and I work for a huge retailer and in their own policy it states (ill put screenshots below) but yet I've had 3 out of 4 of my managers tell me that they do NOT need to treat pregnant people special and can put them in heavy lift areas if they want and do not need to make accommodations for me at all..which their policy says the opposite so I'm confused?
@momma2bee, Show your manager or the one who's making you do all this hard work this or send it to them an tell them if they don't like it you'll b calling corprate
Normally you have to have a doctors note stating your restrictions, then if they don't follow that you call the labor board.
I got fired from my job cause I had so many health issues when I was pregnant. There's no hard feelings cause I was gonna quit anyway, but it was a bit of a shock. It was a small family diner.
if an employee has a special need it is against the constitutional rights to discriminate against said person. just make sure you have a doctor's note explaining your limitations
it's not only policy, it's the law. they can get in big trouble for ignoring an employee's needs. I'd go to the person above them
I got fired from my job because I was pregnant. they didn't think I could work because Im pregnant. this was at Popeye's. @momma2bee
