Oh my little boy just won't stop crying tonight. I'm so tired and frustrated. He finally fell asleep in his swing (for now) I'll be sleeping on the couch not to wake my SO since he has to be up in a few hours for work. I sure hope I get answers at his doctors appointment in the morning. This just isn't normal and I wish I could take his pain away 😭😣😟

Thank you for the tips! He said it wouldn't work immediately. It could take days or weeks. But on the 1 month handbook they gave me today it said if baby has persistent feeding issues to try soy formula for 3 days. So I'll give the meds some time first. Crossing my fingers he finds the relief he needs. @julybaby2016

hopefully it does work...if you don't see any changes, try the alimentium formula from similac...and see if that helps and if it does , talk about it with his doctor

Well he deemed him as having acid reflux. He prescribed him baby zantac and kept his formula the same. Hopefully it works and he won't need to change formula. @beautiful_bliss @julybaby2016 @kryssy_michelle @ktwins188

he shouldn't brush it off especially if your baby is spitting up and or having diarrhea and as soon as I told him he had diarrhea and was spitting up he changed his milk and checked his stool for infection

Was it difficult to convince your doctor something needed to be done? @beautiful_bliss

thank you for the responses! I'm so nervous the doctor will just brush it off or will tell me to stick out even longer. He's just not a happy eater, happy baby or even a happy spitter. I just really hope something gets done today and not a week for month from now. @julybaby2016 @beautiful_bliss

it really sounds like a milk allergy my son has it and he was really gassy, fussy, spit up, and had green stools that later turned to straight liquid. our pediatrician had to change his milk to enfamil prosobee and he's much much better

@jacesterlingsmommy, this sounds just like my son when he was a baby. ..his pediatrician at that time changed him to several different formulas...then she started saying that he was doing that because I was giving solid food at just 3 months old....which made me record the process of every feeding... and still she wouldn't look at it and told me to stop feeding my son solids. I would cry with him because his pediatrician was no help. and I really thought I was doing something wrong...(I was a 1st time mommy and my son had just recently came home from NICU and after open heart surgery) every single time he was hungry, he would take a few sips and start crying in pain...arching his back, and it was as if drinking breast milk or formula it would hurt him, crying nonstop and he could barely take a few sips, I would panic evertime it was time to feed him ...then one day, when a home nurse came to give him his shot for his lungs ( something they give premature babies) and she saw how my son was while I tried to feed him...and she told me it was not right, something was very wrong, he was supposed to be a happy baby, specially while eating...plus he started showing some small amounts of blood on his stools..so I took him once again to his pediatrician, only for her to say it was colics, changed him to soy formula, and told me once again not to feed my baby solids (like why on earth would I feed my baby solids?? what would make her think I would hurt my baby by giving him solids at just 3 months?😡 then the blood in his stools increased a little more, and I just felt something wasn't right, and so I called his cardiologist and explained everything, and I said I didn't knew if this could be happening because he was in pain from his surgery or something... she told me to take him to children's hospital... all the way to Chicago... and that's when they listened to me ...and never even accused me of giving him solids or said it was my fault...they ran test and that's where they found out my son was allergic to milk protein, and he was placed on alimentum formula from similac, but the one that is ready to feed since it had something that the powdered formula didn't..and that changed everything... he was a very very happy baby, and every feeding after that was a moment to enjoy. Of course, the 1st thing I did after getting out of the hospital was change his pediatrician... but not before telling her how unprofessional she was by not listening to me and blaming me for what was happening, and that he had an allergy to milk protein the whole time, and she failed as a pediatrician. I still can't believe she's even working as a pediatrician... she wouldn't even take his temperature on his checkups, she would ask me to take it home every time before his appointment 😟

Yeah I'm trying to stay with Enfamil brand since that's what's covered on WIC unfortunately. @kryssy_michelle

Sure hope we finally find what works for him soon.

He's on Enfamil Gentlease now. But we started on Enfamil Newborn. I've also tried Enfamil AR (for spit up) and currently trying Nutramigen (for milk allergy). I sure hope the dr has some insight tomorrow because this just isn't normal. I may be a FTM but I'm sure you know about the mother intuition plus I've helped with my baby cousins and they never acted like this so something is off. @ktwins188

Same thing happened with my daughter when she was just on formula, I switched to the similac sensitive and it helped a lot but I also had to rub her tummy every night and she had to sleep in her swing

He's on the sensitive kind already. Kid lives on gas drops and gripe water. And as crazy as it sounds to say, he hates his belt rubbed. Makes him scream even more no matter how much I try. He's a picky baby. lol I've tried it all! @kryssy_michelle

If he's formula fed maybe try switching to the sensitive of which ever formula you're using, if he's breastfed, my sister used gas drops and it helped ease the fussyness. Also if you lay him on his back and rub his belly clockwise and then counter clockwise it'll help pass the gas through his system.

I was EBF but switched him to formula and he did so much better on it. He would spit up entire BM feedings but not formula but just recently he started doing it to formula too. He arches his back, screams after feedings, gassy, fussy, just not happy at all in general unless he's asleep. Which he has trouble sleeping anymore. He's on gentlease and it's just not doing what it should. Him spitting up a whole bottle isn't right. I've been careful to sit up him after he eats, burp after ever 1/2oz-1oz. Nothing seems to be helping which leads me more to think it's acid reflux? @kryssy_michelle

Yeah I'm not sure if it's that or something else. He doesn't quite fit the criteria for colic. I'm thinking either a milk allergy or acid reflux or a combination of all three maybe? He wasn't like this in the beginning but had been getting worse the past week or so. His belly constantly bothers him. I just feel so bad for him. @ktwins188
