@lovelymommylumps, I made a general post about something that bothers me... You know LIKE EVERYONE ELSE ON THIS APP. I didn't point anyone out, I wasn't talking about a specific person, I was making a generalized post that someone else took too far. That's part of the problem these days, no one can say a damn thing without someone getting mad about it. How was I supposed to know she was going to take it personally? I didn't. It's not my fault that she took my generalized post that was not about her, and turned it back on herself. I don't feel like I should have to tiptoe around everyone's feelings. It's not my fault if someone takes something personally, it's theirs.

@kelseys, you go girl! I do agree that some schools do not do a great job at teaching grammar. But being completely closed off to being educated about the English language, because they feel like they have the right to spell things however they want.. That just baffles me. I do agree, people can spell things anyway that they choose, but I could never see why people aren't open to knowing the English language properly, and having it to look good on things such as job applications.

I don't care if people shorten things and use abbreviations. But there's a big difference between abbreviations (aka shortening of words) and just using the wrong word.
