OK slight rant..

My friend smoked weed her whole pregnancy and then her baby was born a month early which I wouldn't be surprised is because she smoked pot the whole time.. well now her baby is three months old and she still smokes and breast feeds but her baby seems really behind to me and I honestly think there is something wrong with her baby... Like I have a six month old and I get a nasty gut feeling around that baby like I'm not interested in holding him and I feel terrible but it's almost like that feeling how a mother dog will leave a newborn pup because she knows something is wrong with it and it won't survive.. well he is three months old and can't hold his head up on his own and doesn't respond to toys and he just stares at nothing. I know they are supposed to be a month behind but he is like a newborn. I don't think she spends enough time with him either. By three months old my baby could almost sit and she could roll by two months. She sets him in his swing and just sticks the bottle in his mouth and walks away.. I seriously think it was all because she smokes too much weed.. honestly too much of a "good" thing is not a good thing!!!

It's really hard to say, since there aren't very many good studies to go off of. I think maybe yea, because smoking weed alters an adults state of mind, so it has to be altering an unborn babies..

do you think some mothers who smoke more their babies are affected than ones who smoke less?@giananiicole

I've been reading up on studies about babies whose mothers have smoked and ones who have not smoked, and there's actually no hard proof that weed is the cause of development issues. It's weird because some mothers smoke throughout the whole thing and their babies come out with developmental problems, or shakes, and some babies come out totally normal and fine. I personally wouldn't risk it, and I don't think any mother really should. But I'm not sure why it's like that. Maybe the results vary depending on the baby and the mother? Or why only some babies are affected negatively and some aren't affected at all, it's really strange to me.

I'm not defending her but my sister also smoked weed through her entire pregnancy and her baby is actually ahead of what she should be, she started walking at 9 months & was always ahead in weight and the % Tiles and everything and her baby she didn't smoke with during the pregnancy ended up with breathing problems & has asthma and has to do breathing treatments. I think it's just because every baby is different.

Does he respond to toys like looks at them when they make noise?@alexislopez And right it just seems like he is really behind for some reason. like all babies develop different but he is at what seems to be less than a month old in development..@kaylaskibinski,

It can be. Some do develop faster than others though.

Not defending the mother either bc I don't agree with that but my son is 3 months and doesn't hold onto toys yet etc, all babies aren't the same

My son is a month old this weekend and can almost hold his up perfectly and he already tries to reach out and grab things. That baby needs help.

He doesn't even attempt to hold his head up which is what's weird to me. like she showed me him do tummy time and he just layer there staring at the couch. And when you shake like a rattle next to his head his cognitive development is delayed in that sense too.@kaylaskibinski, @luuuuuucyyy @mdomke22 @

My son can sit up almost on his own & has a lot of attention which is what helps them develop better. Even though a baby can't talk or walk like we do they understand a lot being so small. Little man needs a lot of attention. My son is so advanced and is about to be three months. It can be that though.

Call CPS. No baby should be treated like that.

idk I'm just saying my baby couldn't hold her fat head up by herself all the time at 3 months old. let alone at 2 months. some babies just grow differently.

3 month old bleeding monthly

3 month old bleeding monthly So I have no clue if this is normal or if I should be worried. Of course I am a little worried anyways but my 3 month old baby girl has had pink blood in her diaper atleast one day each month. It's like a little pink streak. I know her bleeding that first month is normal but every month? It's like she has a mini period/spotting. I would call her doctor but the only working phone we own is my husbands and he's at work. This is the 3rd month it's happened and I'm a little worried. Any advice or information would be appreciated. She doesn't seem fussy or like she's hurting. Her little breasts have are swollen again too (they feel like a little hard lump)

okay serious question! and don't judge I don't wanna hear all the mean stuff people can say.

okay serious question! and don't judge I don't wanna hear all the mean stuff people can say. so I still occasionally smoke weed since I've been pregnant. not like I use to, I use to smoke every day but now maybe just a couple times a week or less. BUT I was wondering, how many weeks should I stop completely and make sure my husband doesn't smoke around me and such in order for everything to be okay when it comes to birth? cause they drug test at the hospitals where I live & I don't want them to have a reason to try to take my baby and all of that drama. my cousins girl smoked and she went into pre term labor because the umbilical cord got wrapped around her babies neck and they blamed it on the weed and got cps involved and such but the baby wasn't taken because her husband has his card and she said it was just second hand that's why it came up in her drug test. but I don't even want that to happen or to deal with it. so I'm thinking stop completely and not let my husband smoke around me at all, about a month and a half before? I'm not sure. so advice & opinions??
