Normal. It regenerates itself. I lost it like 4 times starting this early

you can lose it at any time. it regrows

@mamesey, @kelseys Thank you both! This is the first time it has happened so it freaked me out because I only see people who are almost due lose their mucus plug.

Haha yeah I kinda freaked out the first time too. But I researched and found out it grows back so the next few times I was calm lol :)

I lost mine at 29 weeks. I knew it grew back cause when I went into labor at 34 weeks I lost a huge chunk of it and kept losing lots until I had my water broken 3 days later

If it has blood in it you should call your dr to confirm while it does grow back it should not have any blood in it with you only being 28 weeks
