I'm the same when I'm feeding her and he asks if I want him to burp her. I always say no. I change her bum mostly because he's scared he will hurt her because of how tiny she is. newborn clothes don't fit her there too big lol. @tresea

I spouse if we where both home then we would be the same my husbands never changed her bum bathed her got her so sleep or give her a full bottle or feed her lol he would if I needed him to but iv never asked I'm making him sound bad but it really is me he always offers and I say no that's why he's son proud when he dose do something don't get me wrong he spends loads of time with her in other ways and we spend time as a family loads but I just do all the jobs xx

my fiance can't work due to being partially sighted. And I don't work due to anxiety. So we share the feeds and bum changes etc etc. @tresea

My husband works and I don't so I just do them all well I do pretty much everything he's a good dad I just sort of took it all on at the beginning now that's just the way things are wouldn't change it tho @kellyboo

we share night feed times. He does the midnight feed, I do the 4am feed and we both help out doing the 8am feed. and the feeds before midnight we both help out doing. @tresea

😂😂I think who ever dose the night feeds should have final say on the matter that's when they come in most handy I really miss mine when I stay at my mum and dads for the night don't get me wrong there helpful 24/7 it's the nights that got mexx

Mine was a present from my mum and dad when I was expecting my first baby and can't imagine life without it now my husband is the same although he gets really proud of he's self when he puts the powder in them ready for me to do the night feeds and in the morning before work when he makes one before he leaves for me to give her it really is worth it so much easier then waiting for the bottles to cool @kellyboo xx

might persuade my oh to get one. He enjoys making bottles from scratch though. he gets proud when he does it lol. @tresea

They filter the water so the bottle is the perfect temperature to feed the baby right away no waiting for it too cool or warm up you just add the powder and press a button and the bottles done docent sound like Mitch but a God sent on night feeds @kellyboo xx

@tresea, what does a prep machine actually do. I've heard about them but not to sure how they work

It's really good specially for night feeds don't think I could of done it without it as my husband works early so had to do it all myself if I added the powder to the bottles before bed and then it was so easy to just press a button and have them done @amy101 xx

I use filtered from the tommetipy bottle maker but if I'm out I always use boiled water xx

Yes, that's what i used to do. So make up 4 bottles or so. If you do need to warm up you can put it in your warmer. I used to have a bottle bag if I was going out for the day. You can also buy formula pots from Asda to put your powder in. @kellyboo

@amy101, so can I boil the kettle in the morning fill so many bottles up with the water. leave them till later then add the formula then re heat in the bottle warmer?

No, you need boiled water in the bottle with your formula. Boiled water kills any bacteria. You can then cool the bottle down once made up under a tap. If you give your baby just normal tap water before 12months they will become very very poorly.

I used to make bottles up in the morning with my boiled water then added formula when baby was ready for a feed.

No, midwife told me the water has to be boiled to get rid of germs etc xx
