are bouncers and rockers the same if not do I need both ????????

They're different but do the same thing one just bounces and the other rocks...we went with the rocker

I don't know the difference, but I know you don't NEED either. Bouncers and rockers are just fun things to have, but you can have a perfectly happy and healthy baby without one. And if you haven't had your baby yet, you can wait awhile before buying one. Your baby won't be able to use it for awhile.

I have both and used both with my first. we didn't use a swing until 6 months old though which alot of people use one when they are newborns.

yes it is. a lot of parents use them. my first didn't because they didn't have many options in 2010 like they do now for infants.
