I just have to rant real quick.
I live in nc with my husband, and my family lives in Illinois. I get that my mom wants to see her grand baby and everything but when you're suggesting that you come here for a MONTH right after the baby is born to "help" me I'm going to have to disagree... Let me get my time with my baby girl and create a bond with her before I have you hovering over me trying to teach me how to take care of my baby. My husband gets leave for the baby, and I'm sure we can manage ourselves.... I'm just really irritated that she told me she was going to do that... I appreciate her wanting to help but I know I'll just be way more over whelmed and irritated with her here. Especially if she's going to be living off us for a month 🙄
@ashsanta, yeah it's her first , and she's being a little too much with it. When I first found out she literally told every person we had contact with.. Like cashiers and waitresses... I'm like mom no.
@answeredprayer16, yeah my grandma is coming up too but she's only staying for a couple days and supposably to drop my mom off.. My mom was talking about moving out here and I feel like she has more planned than just "a month." Which is not happening lol. She tends to not think things through. Least your mom said she wants to help you cook and clean, I think mine just wants to play mom and relax on the beach 🙄 lol.
They do tend to do that, you just have to let her know that's your baby, Haha, grandparents mean well but they can smother and be a bit much especially if this is their first 😳 haha don't worry though baby knows who mommy is !
I completely agree. my mom said 2 weeks but I think that's still over doing it. my Nana (her mom) wants to come up too (they live in fl, we're in MD) and my mom is being selfish saying she doesn't want her to come😕 my Nana only wants to come for 3 or 4 days which I'd like way more!! then his parents want to come up from nc for a weekend which I'm also ok with because I know she won't smother me. my mother claims she just wants to come to clean and cook and do laundry😒...yeah right.
Yeah I was thinking maybe a few weeks after the baby is born so me and my husband can have our time.. Then when he goes back, she can come when I actually need her help lol. That'd be nice. @ashsanta I have a feeling she's going to like smother my child tho... Like act like its hers and not mine
I was in almost the same boat with my first child my mother insisted being there for the birth and staying after... It was actually very nice to have the help, I had to lay down the law with her and let her know that I wanted to do things my way not hers but she was more then welcome to make suggestions, she mostly helped with cooking and cleaning and if I needed a nap would hang with baby for a little bit. A month is def way too much but a week is nice and maybe not even right after baby is born if your hubby is in the military I know it's only a 10 day leave so maybe after that 😊
I definitely understand that. Maybe a week yes, but definitely not a whole month.. I just want to do this on my own without her hovering over me. If I was back home it'd be a little different because she wouldn't be staying with me. She wouldn't get a hotel because she barely can afford to come down here... That's why I'm a little upset.. We're going to be cutting it tight on money we don't need her here to put more pressure on us. I'm definitely going to have to negotiate with her because a month is just not happening @candidbabex
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that
Birth Plan Rant
I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
my baby daddy's ex wife works at the hospital I'm having my daughter she is just a cleaning lady she tell me they let her move the babies around I'm scared this women will take my baby she even tells me if I have my baby early she could see her ever day .. my doctor only delivers at this hospital I don't know what to do . this is why I don't want to have my baby early ..
Hahahah yes it never ends!
