can having sex induce labour?? I'm 36 weeks+2 days. Me&my; partner have been having sex throughout the pregnancy although it has been getting harder and harder too. I don't want to go into labour any earlier than 37 weeks as I want my little girl to be safe and sound when she's born, but I've heard that male sperm can bring on labour.

well we had sex yesterday and I'm currently 36weeks and 3days. I've not had any signs or anything, but if i get to 38/39 weeks and there's still no sign I shall be volunteering him to help encourage her out lol xx

semen does soften cervix. i had intercourse with my husband at 34+5 weeks and my waters leaked 20mins later so i dont know if it was sex or not (first pregnancy not this time) xx
