I recommend not to shave the side, I highly regret it, I'm still growing mine out and my hair is a mess cause I mean NOTHING is the same length. I wish I wouldn't have done it, but I don't do short hair often, which is why is was a bad idea for me cause I knew I'd wanna grow it out again, but if your always going short then shaving it shouldn't be a big deal. Lol
