Any other EBF FTM's feeling completely tapped out? I broke down yesterday because I haven't had a second to myself. She's cluster feeding and sucking for comfort and won't let me put her down for more than 5 minutes. And dad is sleeping on the couch because of her :( waa I hope tomorrow is better
@santistevanmommie, that's how I felt when she made birth weight at 3 days old lol. Like wow all this cluster feeding is really paying off. She's humming and eating right now and I feel so in love. Damn these mood swings!
It is worth it. When I look at my daughter and see how big and healthy she is it makes me proud of myself to know that it's all me that did that
@santistevanmommie, sigh tank you for the words of encouragement. I look forward to the easier days. I have a long way to go but she's worth it.
@kmhicksyy, I'm only 2 weeks in thinking about quitting! Oh boy lol. Ugh I feel like all i do is watch tv and sit on fb. It's exhausting. I think I need a new wrap because my Moby is way too hot to walk around in. Bummer. I'm trying to hang in there!
I'm 10mo in and it does get easier. For me it got easier at about 5mo. Then I knew how long she would go between feedings and that helped a lot because I could hand her off to someone for a little. I've also had breakdowns through out this journey. I had one just recently because I didn't get sleep and she wanted to eat.
lol well for me the first like 6-8 weeks were the hardest. I thought about quitting a few times lol. but we are at 4 months now and it's a lot easier. there are still some days where I can't get anything around the house done because he's attached all day, but I just bring snacks and drinks to my nightstand and use that time to catch up on TV or Facebook lol. I also put him in a wrap sometimes and do my housework or whatever bc sometimes it seems like he wants to eat, but he just wants that closeness. just hang in there! it'll become like second nature to you And you won't even have to think about it:)
@ahauge6, wow I'm glad I'm not alone. I feed her on demand and in a SAHM so I don't feel the need to pump. I'm starting to reconsider so I can have a break from feeding from time to time. I just worry about her wanting the bottle since the flow is much easier you know? I really do want to stick to this though. Thank you!
@kmhicksyy, but thank you. I'm trying to enjoy the calmer moments when she's not clawing at my boobs lol
@kmhicksyy, whennnn does it get easier? I know people who are 10m in and their babies are just as demanding!
@santistevanmommie, thanks!
