Does anyone else have strep b.? I have to have antibiotics in my IV when I go into labor. I've read up on it & it just worries me.😓

Hi I am into my 15 week now But since last two days am not having good feeling....I just feel something is wrong inside wid d kid...all my symptoms r too less Morning sickness is gone....Metallic taste of my tounge is also less....and I feel pain in my abdoman twice or thrice which is very minor though What should i do i am very confused Already have gone through 5 scans because of changing gynec Just feel that untill i hear the heartbeat or see my kid i wont b ok....got sleepless nights

As long as the antibiotics are given to you during delivery then you're fine! Nothing to worry about at all. ☺ My doctor didn't even tell me what it was, he just said "we're gonna do a swab to test if you're positive for a certain bacteria, it's not a big deal regardless of the results."

@katarama, I just know it can make the baby really sick if not given & idk this is the first out of my two I've had lol. I'm a worried person in general lol.

Yeah I have it. I will have an I've before I deliver in dec. it can be dangerous if left untreated but if they talk bout Givin you the Iv you'll be okay

I went into labor at 35 and a half weeks with my daughter. Was never tested for it so I had to have the antibiotics anyway just in case. It was fine. They gave me something for pain while it made its way through my system or whatever. And then when it was done I got my epidural and went about pushing soon after. It all happened real fast and I was in too much pain and then too high off the pain meds to really care about much. I have an extremely low tolerance for things so whatever they gave me for the labor pains before the epidural, made me high as a kite, and then the epidural was even stronger. Lol

I had it both pregnancies, really not a big deal. This pregnancy I didn't get the 2 doses of antibiotics before baby came because I was already 9 1/2 cm when I got to hospital, they just checked baby more often than they normally would
