Questions thinking about getting the IUD as my next birth control? Any body have any good and bad…

Everyone I know has had it move and not stay in place and said sex was painful

I had one I had mirena loved it because I didn't have periods was cramping the first day got it put it but after that I never felt it and I saved money from buying pads I can't say if it made me gain weight it just depends on your body

I had one friend/neighbor I had to call 911 she was having a seizures and once it got removed they stopped

@mskiera15, so glad to hear something positive!!! (: it worked well for you then and that's great! Did you ever have a period or it literally just stop?? Did you have issues getting pregnant after you got it out? Sorry I'm just curious lol

No it stopped and no but I wasn't trying after I took it out either since I wasn't dating yet

I had one for over 5 years. A little spotting and cramps at first but once my body was used to it I had no period at all. Sex wasn't painful and much less stressful since I didn't have to worry about birth control. I took it out in June 2015, and I was pregnant by January 2016 without trying. I had a great experience but everyone is different.

@klg0123, I'm glad it went great for you (: I got pregnant while on a high dose of birth control and was told this is one of the best ones and just wanted to see other people's experiences

i got mine a little over a month ago and so far it's great. i highly recommend a non hormonal one though, any sort of hormonal birth control will mess you up.
