I have to have a sonogram with stress test every week until my c section date due to my gestational diabetes. asking all the moms who do stress test what goes on during the test what do you do?
my doctor said something about a genetics test at my week 15 appointment. what do they have to do? An is it optional?

@mommyof3littleones, it's pretty easy they usually only last 20-30mins. They just make sure baby is good an everything. I did them twice a week from 36 weeks til I was 40weeks

you can fail...if that happens you get an ultrasound and baby has to pass certain movments...if for baby fails that you have to go to l&d to be monitored...happened to me I was 38 weeks and she failed...had her 3 days later.

but I went twice a week from about 32 weeks...it's nice being able to relax and listen to the heartbeat. my baby was lazy when I went so I got a lot of ultrasounds lol.

lol yes I don't mind being able to hear her heartbeat or see her on sono but just dint want to fail.

don't be nervous...it's reassuring to go and know everything is OK. like I said my baby was sleepy in the mornings when I went so it was just in case. I think they just decided to induce me because I was going to be a few days later anyways and I had elevated blood pressure. she was and is perfectly healthy.

I'm going to have to do this due to my gestational diabetes as well. I was wondering the same thing. I'm not sure when I'm suppose to start it though. I haven't even gotten my glucose meter and I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago.

wow they gave me mine at my appt and having me test 4 times a day and I have to meet with the dr once a week to go over my readings
