Of course. Its always scary when we aren't sure. You think as much as we bleed we'd be fine but its totally different once you've delivered lol

mine was almost a month. I was starting to worry but then it stopped.

Yes and slowly started getting darker and less by the fourth. If it increases in amount than contact your doctor but otherwise you should be fine :)

@lilkountryma, Was it still red the first 3 weeks.?

Because I was told it was supposed to get lighter in color but it hasn't.

Breastfeeding caused the uterus to contract (I'm sure you felt that after delivery) and can prolong the bleeding. I bled for 3 weeks after having my daughter and than spotter for another.

oh yea, i had my period for about 6 weeks after, granted it got lighter and lighter but yeah

Was getting worried about it.

Mine was the same way. I'm 23 days PP now and it's pretty much stopped except for the dark brown stuff like at the end of a period but every now and then I'll still get some bright red bleeding. I looked online and it can be normal unless it's super excessive, painful or passing huge clots. I was worried too. I too was breastfeeding.

do you breastfeed?

Heavy bleeding can last for ten days, then light bleeding can last for up to six weeks after delivery.
