anyone else have experience with being hypokalemic during pregnancy!? had to go to the er for heart arrhythmias because…

yeah my first pregnancy with my daughter was as smooth and easy as possible they only check my heart and hers at the very end with and echo cardiogram to make sure my heart could handle the pushing and labour and no concerns what so ever with either of us! I guess I'm just more afraid of having complications during labor leading to a c-section 😞 it just scares me I'm already having issues and I'm only 11weeks! @michelle2220 and it was very different the meds helped the next day though I didn't gag at all and was able to eat whatever I wanted!! @arivera64 it's very weird that you also had heart palpitations! but you can also have pregnancy induced heart palpitations

my first pregnancy was difficult but this pregnancy is difficult in a whole other way it sucks. hopefully you don't have to be high risk even though I would still classify you as high risk bc of your heart. high risk doesn't always mean the baby is at high risk it means you could be but they monitor you more closely and you get to see baby more closely

oh wow. I started having heart palpitations a couple weeks ago and i was on diclegis but my morning sickess stopped and i havent taken it for about 3 weeks. I wonder if the problem started because i stopped taking it

@michelle2220, unisom and benadryl are both diphenhydramine meds and I cannot take diphenhydramine/ antihistamines due to my heart it could seriously affect me and the er and cardiologist both knew that thank God but I just don't get how I can become hypokalemic when I haven't vomited I only gag/dry heave😞 and I've stayed as hydrated as possible and I'm not outside(the heat affects me )😞

I have heart issues already I've ate a banana and a strawberry banana smoothie but the er doctor didn't want to put me on potassium meds he told me to eat more bananas and my cardiologist said to drink lots of water and didn't want to put me on anything either!?? My first pregnancy was easy smooth and I didn't have any complications! I'm only 11 weeks and don't want to be considered High risk this go around😭😭😭

yea I only took two tablets of it at night for the first dose and started have heart problems!😞 I have SVT that was corrected in 2009 by ablation! And my cardiologist was very irritated that they put me on it knowing of my past medical history!😠 I even asked them in the ob's office if it would cause any problems and they said no but I looked it up and it can cause heart issues!😠😠😠 it's like benadryl and B6 mixed together is what the cardiologist said!?
