I am a mom with an incompetent cervix, irritable uterus, and during my pregnancies was diagnosed with preeclampsia. I was never induced, but this is my son Maveric.. He is one of my four preemies. Born at 33 weeks in NICU for over a month, on oxygen over a year. He has had to have many surgeries in his first short two years of live to correct issues caused by prematurity (Inguinal hernia repair, damaged lung removal/repair and lung disease due to the ventilator in NICU, mal rotation repair, juvenile xanthogranuloma tumor removal, adenoidectomy). name a few. Currently in several therapies including early childhood development, speech, and physical therapy because of being delayed. Seeing many specialists at children's hospital who are working with us on getting him healthy. A lot of people think 33 weeks isn't "that bad", but premature is premature and every baby is different! Please don't try to self induce.. Don't take for granted the blessing of going full term. I'd kill to go full term just once. #earlyterm #preemiemommies

My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own?
