What medicine is safe to give a newborn if she has a cold/runny nose ?

The doctor will check and make sure it's just a cold. Has she had a fever at all?
@foreverlaquan, I asked last week what meds do we need to keep on hand and nurse said nothing yet bc they can't have anything until they're 6 weeks old..may have to run course UNLESS have a fever. we were told to call Dr immediately if have fever of 100.4 or higher..I'd talk with ur dr though

There's really no medicine you can give a baby for a cold. My son's had 3 or 4 colds, his doctor said there's no safe medicine for him to take. You can suction her nose out with the little bulb thing. But since she's so young I'd take her to the doctor!
