I've been feeling this exact same way. It's almost a panicked feeling, like if you don't do it the whole world will end. I talked to my mom about it and she says it's a natural motherly instinct called "nesting" where we just have to prepare a space or "nest" for our baby and make sure everything is perfect for them. My partner just doesn't understand it but it's something I need to do for me, and I will, no matter how early it seems. I've been making a lot of crafts for the baby to relieve that panicked feeling. Last night I came up with a way to make a diaper dispenser out of an old hoodie, so I can hang my clean diapers up on the wall instead of having them take up space on the floor or in a drawer.
