Quick question I'm 38 weeks getting induced tomorrow will they break my water or whatever it's called since I'm not dilated or anything?!? I'm just trying to be prepared

my water wasn't broken till 5 cm. but I had stalled for 3 days so that's when they induced me

they broke mine, and it didn't hurt me ( personally) but it's different for everyone

Is there anything I have too do to try and dilate?? And is it normal too be 38 weeks and not dilated at all??

it depends on the doctor. my doctor doesn't break waters. so mine didn't break until an hour before i had her. I was in labor for 39 hours. once the break your water you have to deliver within 24 hours so some doctors don't like having a time cap and you will less likely have a c section. sometimes breaking your water will speed it up

I was induced and they are gonna give you a pill in your cervix with pictoin and the. hopefully this works for you cuz I had a failed induction and failed epidural. I had 2 folley bulbs put in and they didn't do nothing.

after the 4th day in labor I got to 5 cm they broke my water then I went from 5 to 8 in 1 hour then 8 to 10 in 30 minutes. 30 minutes after that I had my son.
